New Year, New Foods

First post of 2017! Started winter quarter of Screenwriting last week and we’re getting deep into the emotional backbones of our stories. Not sure if I can write Acts II and III by March but the stress of that deadline might help.

Since the new year began, I’ve already been blowing through my budget and trying new foods. There are just way too many good places to visit and too little time. This is a blog post for me to remember some of my favorites when I’m starving and want to look at pictures of food.

Guisados: They make their own tortillas by hand. You can hang out and watch this process while waiting for your six-taco sampler to come out. Also, best horchatas hands down.

Verve Coffee Roasters: Started in Santa Cruz, this coffee is way too addicting. I visited three days in a row to get my fix. Social atmosphere and great outdoor seating for people watching.

Fat Sal’s:¬†You kind of hate yourself after eating this sandwich but it’s worth it. I think mine had french fries, mozzarella sticks, and a fried egg in it, which is just a few of the ingredients that made up this heavenly creation.

Mumford Brewing: This is where we tried every one of their brews. Their flights are reasonably priced and the staff really take the time to go over each one with you. Warehouse atmosphere, great place to chill, and a fun vibe.
