What better way to start off the new year than with a beer tour and tasting? Yesterday, Palwasha and I made the trip out to Potrero Hill to visit the Anchor Brewing Company where we learned about the beer-making process.
Our tour guide was the biggest beer nerd I’ve ever met, so it was really interesting to learn about the brewing process and the history of the company and blah blah. We were more excited, as expected, to taste all the different beers they had on tap. We tried six beers in all, including the classic Anchor Steam, a lager, a porter, an IPA, and a really good barrel ale that was released this fall.
We had a good-sized tour group and we all had a good time. The whole thing from start to finish took a little less than two hours. It was a good experience and a good start to 2016.
