Summer in Korea (Part 1)

It’s Monday June 16 here in Korea right now. I’ve been here for 4 days now, but it feels like I’ve been here for a month already. After a 12-hour plane ride from San Francisco to Incheon (I watched so many movies), we were greeted with rain.

ImageThe ride into Seoul made me realize how much has changed here since I last visited, exactly 9 years ago. I was so excited to explore the city.

The first night was spent moving all our luggage into our place. Hell ensued when we found blood on the sheets… Don’t even want to get into that… Immediately moved into another place and stayed up until 5 AM cleaning. Found a 24-hour restaurant and has potato skin potstickers (delicious). And it was only $3 for 10!

Since then, we’ve visited my grandmother, explored the Gangnam area, and had lots of delicious food. The best part about Korea is all the great snacks. The weather isn’t as bad as I expected–not yet at least. The humidity is disgusting but there is still a lot of wind.

Been waking up at weird hours–still getting used to the time difference. Also, the subway station plays music when the train is approaching, much to Angela’s surprise.
