Just got back from the movie theater where I watched The Conjuring. I was very impressed with the movie. It creeped me out for sure. Much better than the dumb horror films that come out today.
After getting dinner at a Greek restaurant, Steve and I headed to Jack London theater. I definitely saw Steve jump at some scenes, but he will probably deny it forever. The best part about the movie was the audience’s comments during the showing.
I wasn’t as terrified as I would have loved to be, but the movie was still great. It definitely did not need to rely on pop out scares– the story/other scenes were creepy by themselves. The acting was good, too.
I’m trying to delay going to sleep as long as possible. It’s 1:30 AM.
Today during Day Camp, I saw a police car speed through Crab Cove towards the Visitor Center. As our group was making our way to the campsite, we were told by park rangers that there was a bomb scare. All the campers were moved back to the bathhouse. A few hours later, we heard a big boom. Off in the distance, smoke was rising into the sky.
When I got home from work, I found out that the sheriff’s department had intentionally set off the bomb. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident. Some parents came to pick up their kids, but otherwise, day camp went on as planned.
